After graduating from the University of Alabama during the height of the pandemic, Jesse entered the marketing industry during an uncertain time and quickly made his mark. Starting as a Digital Marketing & PR Intern at SalientMG, he developed a strong foundation in campaign management and data analysis. He then expanded his skill set in social media strategy as a Social Media Coordinator at Reliant Realty. At Alabama Media Group, Jesse has risen through the ranks to his current role as Sr. Campaign Specialist, where he delivers results for a diverse portfolio of clients.
1. Why did you join the SUM Advisory Board?
The SUM Advisory Board is important to me because it allows me to provide a newer enterprise perspective while assisting in the development of this program from a more green approach. I’m most excited about learning and working with seasoned professionals as I learn more about the startup world.
2. One piece of advice you’d give your younger marketing self?
Be open to learning all facets of marketing. Don’t limit yourself to one topic/product.
3. What’s the most underrated marketing tool in your toolkit?
Google Adwords recommendations/copy assistance.
4. What’s your marketing superpower?
My marketing superpower is my ability to think outside the box when it comes to targeting by placing myself in the consumer’s shoes.
